We are members of Cave Hill Baptist Church in Newport, TN, a  southern baptist church in the East Tennessee Baptist Association.  We believe that Jesus Christ is the living Son of God, and that He was born of a virgin and lived a perfect life without sin, the perfect unblemished lamb of God. That He shed His blood and died on the cross to bear the sins of all mankind, including you and I, and that He shed His blood for all, not just the elect. There are people in hell today whose sin debt is paid, but they never received Jesus into their hearts and didn't receive the free gift He gave them by faith in Him. We believe  that God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day and  later He ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand side of God making intercession for all those who would place their faith and trust in Him. We believe that salvation is not earned, but by the grace of God through our faith in His Son Jesus Christ by His death, burial, and resurrection and by faith we receive Him as our Lord and Savior. By doing this  you will receive everlasting life from the Lord and receive His sweet mercy and blessed grace. And if you reject Jesus Christ, then He will reject you and all who reject Christ will suffer in a literal burning hell forever. We believe that salvation comes only through our faith in Jesus Christ , that Jesus is the only way to God. We believe in the trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and that Jesus was God in the flesh, all man, but yet all God.  We believe if you place your faith in Jesus Christ, then your faith will produce works.  We believe in eternal security, as God has promised us eternal life with Him if we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, that when you are truly saved, that you are sealed until the day of redemption. We also believe the King James Version of the Bible to be the most accurate, though we judge no one for what version they choose to use. We believe the Bible to be without error, God breathed and God inspired, truly the Word of God. We are conservative and traditional baptists in our beliefs and do not believe in the bringing in of worldly means into the church to try and reach people, this is a new age approach that we want no part of.  Our truest form of worship is on our knees, humbled before our awesome God in prayer!  We believe in prayer and its power to communicate with our God, and  we believe in coming to the alter to pray, as many have forsaken the alter. We believe in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ both physically and spiritually, as well as what is taught in James about the laying on of hands and anointing with oil for those who are sick or afflicted. Jesus is the great physician, but all things are done according to His will, not ours. We believe that baptism is a very important part of your Christian walk, but not essential to salvation. We believe in setting a good example as a Christian and that we should abstain from all appearance of evil. I preach against drinking, social or otherwise as well as gambling, as these are things that are wrong and can destroy our witness. We believe there will be a rapture of the church just prior to 7 years of tribulation, just as God removed Lot and his family from God's wrath on those evil cities, so He will remove the Christian from this earth before the great tribulation. We believe that we are in the final days, and are looking for the return of Jesus Christ sometime in the near future. 

Our mission is simply this, to seek out the lost, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them before its eternally too late, and to minister to fellow Christians in love. I preach boldly and unapologetically the whole Word of God as I'm not about appeasing men,  but about pleasing God! I am willing to travel to evangelize or pastor,  to go wherever God would send us. My ministry is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and my wife Teresa's is a singing ministry, as well as helping troubled teenage girls.
